I will be away for a few days on vacation. I have posted a new article: Choices... for you to read in my absence.
There is no real peace in the world. There are several conflicts going on around the globe at any given time. The crisis in the nation of Georgia has taken center stage this week. There is only one way to bring peace to this world. Man is not willing, nor is he capable of bringing a lasting peace to this earth. No matter what organizations are setup, no matter what truces and agreements are put into place, it never lasts. There is always someone, somewhere, that lusts after and desires absolute and total control of everything and everyone. The Bible foretells that this world will become united under a world government for a short time, but then Jesus Christ will return in power and glory and take control of this world from man. Only then will there be a lasting peace, only then will there be safety and security and harmony among men. Amen. Even so, come LORD Jesus!

Georgia suffered a retaliatory attack from Russia, who has it’s own ideas about South Ossetia. For all intents and purposes, it appears that Russia is trying to absorb Georgia back into it’s territory. After an aerial pounding resulting in heavy civilian casualties, ground troops and armored cavalry are moving towards the Georgian capital of Tsblisi. A humanitarian crisis is in the making. Read the story here. President Bush is demanding that Russia end what he called a “dramatic and brutal escalation of violence”. Until next time...
